Physical therapy built for adults 55+
Staying strong and mobile is the single biggest factor in independence as you age. Physical therapy can help you recover from a flare-up, get back on your feet after surgery, manage arthritis, or build the strength and balance that prevents a fall. With online PT, you do all of that from home — which matters when getting to a clinic is the hard part.
Common things we help older adults with
- Osteoarthritis pain in knees, hips, hands, and back
- Balance, stability, and falls prevention
- Post-surgical recovery — joint replacement, spine surgery, rotator cuff repair
- Chronic back and neck pain
- Joint stiffness limiting your daily activities
- Strength loss and deconditioning
- Recovery from a fall or hospitalization
- Frozen shoulder and rotator cuff issues
How PT helps older adults
Your first visit is an evaluation over video. Your PT asks about your medical history, what activities matter to you, what hurts, and what you'd like to be able to do that you currently can't. They'll guide you through movement tests in your home space — using whatever support (chair, counter, wall) feels safe.
Treatment is exercise-driven: strengthening for the muscles that protect your joints and keep you upright, mobility for stiff joints, balance work to reduce fall risk, and gradual progressions matched to your tolerance. Between visits you can message your PT directly with questions, flare-ups, or progress updates. They'll adjust your plan as you improve.
What to expect
First visit is about 60 minutes over a secure video call — we'll help you set up the tech if needed. Follow-ups are 30–45 minutes. Most older adults notice meaningful improvement in 4–8 weeks of consistent work. Your program is built around what matters to you — walking the dog, gardening, traveling, keeping up with grandkids — not generic exercises.
